Kids Spring Performance Program Now Enrolling!
Hello, School of Rock Students and Families! We are now enrolling for our 2026 Spring season here at School of Rock Fairfield!

Shows will meet once per week at the advertised time for a three-hour rehearsal. Students will also attend once a week for their one-on-one lesson. Please make sure you will be available for the performance date before signing up for your show choices.

All shows will be held at Park City Music Hall. We have 7 shows to choose from this season.

We ask that students provide their top 3 choices when filling out their show cards located at the front desk or when you call in. We will need a parent's and instructor's signature before the card can be submitted. If you can't provide three choices, we can't guarantee placement on any particular show. Show placement will be announced within two weeks of the start date of the season.

A one-time non-refundable show fee of $175 will be charged per student for the season on March 2nd, 2026. Each additional student of the same household will be charged $75.

Upon signing up for a show, please call the school at (203) 292-5473 so we can find a weekly lesson time for the student as well.

Kids spring 2026 Reherarsal Dates

Kids spring 2026 Performance dates

 Steely Dan - Tuesdays (5-8pm) starts 2/17/26

Steely Dan is the ultimate jazz/rock/funk/pop super-group. Founded by core members Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, their albums feature the finest session musicians performing complex jazz-influenced arrangements at the highest level. Pumping out seven highly-acclaimed albums in the 1970s, these guys have been labeled "the perfect musical anti-heroes" of the decade. This show will be an edifying challenge for instrumentalists and vocalists alike! MD approval for this one.

Modern Queens of Funk and Soul - Wednesdays     (5-8pm) starts 2/18/26

Following in the footsteps of Queens like Aretha, Chaka, Etta and the like; this show will feature some more modern luminaries who are keeping the funk and soul torch burning. Artists like Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones, Corrine Bailey Rae, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and more will be found on this setlist. It will be a great and enlightening challenge for all instruments and vocalists, intermediate-advanced students encouraged!

Rolling Stones - Thursdays (5-8pm) starts 2/26/26

Dubbed `The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World’, The Rolling Stones have remained relevant and rocking for nearly 60 years. Though their songs are rooted in the Blues that inspired them to pursue music, throughout their legendary career they have incorporated everything  into their sound from Rock to Country to Blues to Punk to Disco. For an education in pocket, groove, stage presence, and tasteful lead playing, there are few equals to a Stones show. Keith Richards' guitar wizardry will serve as a masterclass for guitarists looking to expand their rhythmic prowess. Drummers will not only be tested on their ability to play for the song, but they will  also have opportunities to explore percussion usage like bongos, congas, and shakers.  Studying Mick Jagger’s stage moves and the creative vocal arrangements within the Rolling Stones catalog is an excellent learning experience for vocal students of all ages and skill levels. Keys players will enjoy learning from Ian Stewart, Jack Nitzsche, Nicky Hopkins, Billy Preston, and Ian McLagan - all legendary players who recorded and performed with the Stones. From standing tall on the front lines of the British Invasion to selling out stadiums in more recent times, The Rolling Stones are truly one of the most impactful and important Rock n’ Roll bands of all time, and they will continue to inspire future generations for years to come.

 Kiss - Fridays (5-8pm) starts 2/27/26

KISS rose to prominence in the 1970s with a string of hard rock hits and live shows that generated a thrilling visual experience, becoming one of the biggest-selling bands in rock history. While the blood spitting, fire breathing, and extreme marketing sometimes overshadowed the music, behind the face paint KISS were four talented musicians with a gift for writing great, catchy rock and roll songs. Many rock bands of today cite KISS as a main influence and inspiration to pursue the life of a touring musician. Beyond the visual spectacle, KISS is a band with a surprisingly diverse catalog that requires some serious musicianship. For guitarists, the KISS show will incorporate several approaches to rock soloing, as KISS had 5 different lead guitarists throughout their career. Gene Simmons’ bass playing will certainly challenge students' ability to play melodic riffs and simultaneously maintain groove. Drum students will love the many rocking drum breaks and big fills within KISS’ 50-year catalog of material. This is a show the whole family will have fun singing along to, featuring hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite”, “Beth”, and “Shout It Out Loud”.

British Steel - Saturdays (11am-2pm), starts 2/28/26

A tribute to a wave of heavy metal that erupted from England with a vengeance throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Generating the first wave of metalheads and headbangers, this show features upbeat tempo songs, power chords, fast guitar solos, and melodic, soaring vocals. The show was named after Judas Priest's 1980 album British Steel, and features songs released from it including: "Breaking the Law" and "Living After Midnight." Other British metal classics on this list include: "You've Got Another Thing Comin'," "Run to the Hills," and "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden, "Smoke on the Water" and "Space Truckin'" by Deep Purple, "Ace of Spades" by Motörhead, and many more.

Today's Singer/Songwriters -  Saturdays (2pm-5pm), starts 2/28/26

This show is a modern take on our Singer-Songwriter show. Focusing on the songsmiths of more recent times, it will feature artists like Mac DeMarco, Big Thief, Sheryl Crow, Sara Bareilles, Wilco, Phoebe Bridgers, Brandi Carlile, Noah Kahan, and more. This show will be a great learning tool for all instruments and vocalists at any level of experience!

Pop Punk & Emo - Sundays (11am-2pm) starts 2/15/26

In the 1990s, artists such as Green Day, Offspring, and Blink-182 achieved success by blending punk attitudes and influences with a more polished, melodic, commercially appealing sound than their often raw predecessors. By the 2000s, Pop Punk and its Emo offshoot (featuring lyrics that touch on emotional and confessional topics) were fully entrenched in the mainstream music world, with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, and Panic! At the Disco topping the charts and selling out arenas. Of course, this music is still incredibly popular and influential today. A fun show that can be musically challenging but also teaches solid fundamental skills, Pop Punk & Emo is sure to appeal to all levels of students and will entertain any crowd!
