Our program gets students playing together preparing for an awesome concert. If you haven't already, come join us!!! It is simply the best way to learn to play music.
We will perform the shows live at a venue in Late January.
New Youth Students:
Summer season rehearsals begin October 11th . New or returning students interested in joining should enroll right away (no later than September 15th) and start their weekly private lessons by October 15th. We like to cast the first few songs as early as we can and give students a jump start before the first rehearsal.

Current Youth Students:
Current youth students should use our online youth sign up formfor their preferred shows no later than September 15th. Student interest is heavily considered, but staff will ultimately place students based also on their educational needs and our program casting needs.
If there are any days or times which your student absolutely can't have as their rehearsal, please let us know directly what your needs are by emailing us at kent@schoolofrock.com.
Students who were on a show spring season who are NOT planning to be on a show summer season must give us notice of enrollment change by September 15th.
Current Performance Program students who do not fill out the sign up sheet with their preference will still be placed on a show unless we receive cancellation notice. Many students do not give us preferences and just have us place them on shows. Simply not giving us a first or second choice will not remove you from the program. Thank you for honoring our 30 days notice cancellation and enrollment change policy as it helps us plan for the best program possible!
It is very challenging to remove musicians from show rosters once we place students on shows. There may be an additional $100 fee for any late notice requiring roster or casting changes. Thank you!

Best of the 2010s
Sundays 4-6 pm - Begins October 11th
School of Rock pays tribute to the past decade of Rock and Roll! The 2010s proved that rock and roll is alive and well, with diverse artists such as Adele, Imagine Dragons, Tame Impala, H.E.R., and St. Vincent all rising to prominence in the music world. These current artists combine modern production techniques with retro-sounding riffs and song structures, resulting in today's chart topping hits. While the music itself has generally evolved somewhat from decades past - less guitar solos, more keyboards, and more influence from Hip Hop and R&B - the spirit of Rock and Roll remains as vital as ever. This show will be a stylistically diverse recap of the best music from the decade, featuring modern takes on Punk (Green Day, My Chemical Romance), Blues (Gary Clark Jr., Black Keys), Pop (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry), Rock and Roll (Greta Van Fleet, The Dead Weather), and more! A great show for students of any instrument and experience level.
A History Of The Beatles
Tuesdays 6-8 pm - Begins October 13th
John! Paul! George! Ringo!Arguably the most musically diverse and iconic band of the 1960s British Invasion, The Beatles set the standard for which bands still strive in today’s music. The Beatles are one of the few bands to literally create their own mythos - the lads from Liverpool are as enigmatic intellectually as they are musically. This show doesn’t merely center around the most well-known band of all time, it also happens to employ the most diverse musical range and skill-level window of any artist show. There are raucous three chord garage rock bangers of the early Beatles era, and late sixties era proto-prog technical masterpieces. Drummers will learn the true artistry that is Ringo’s style; bassists will be blown away by Paul’s melodic yet rhythmic bass lines; guitarists will know the sophistication and complimentary guitar skills of John and George which are interwoven in every selection; and vocalists will understand the brilliance of their harmonies. We will be taking the students chronologically through The Beatles career, sharing anecdotes and history about each track and era as we go! With great material for all instruments, The Beatles show is a can’t miss opportunity for any SoR student!
Classic Hard Rock
Wednesdays 6-8 pm - Begins October 14th
Hard Rock evolved out of the heavy blues favored by bands like Cream, Blue Cheer, and Iron Butterfly in the 1960s. By the early ‘70s, bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, and Black Sabbath had achieved superstar status. Soon, a slew of artists would find mainstream success with the Hard Rock formula: distorted guitar riffs, soaring solos, amped up boogie in the rhythm section, and wailing lead vocals. AC/DC, KISS, Aerosmith, Heart, Queen, Alice Cooper, and Van Halen were just a few of the many bands that rose to stardom during this era. While Hard Rock was generally guitar focused, piano and organ played a prominent role in bands like Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Jethro Tull, and Mott The Hoople. The Classic Hard Rock show is a great opportunity for all instruments to build chops by learning some of the most classic songs in rock and roll history.

Pop Punk and Emo
Sundays 6:15-8:15 pm - Begins October 11th
In the 1990s, artists such as Green Day, Offspring, and Blink-182 achieved success by blending punk attitudes and influences with a more polished, melodic, commercially appealing sound than their often raw predecessors. By the 2000s, Pop Punk and its Emo offshoot (featuring lyrics that touch on emotional and confessional topics) were fully entrenched in the mainstream music world, with bands such as Fall Out Boy, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, and Panic! At the Disco topping the charts and selling out arenas. Of course, this music is still incredibly popular and influential today. A fun show that can be musically challenging but also teaches solid fundamental skills, Pop Punk & Emo is sure to appeal to all levels of students and will entertain any crowd!
